With our in-house expertise and trusted specialist contractors, plus state-of-the-art plant and machinery, we’ve handled many land-reinstatement projects. It’s a delicate art that often involves working closely with the natural environment and landowners in a sensitive manner.
Sometimes, planning conditions will stipulate a specific design. Sometimes, a farmer or landowner needs the land to be suitable for growing crops once more. Whatever the situation, we have the skills and expertise to deliver on time and on budget.
Often, the work will involve mediation between the landowners and neighbours to meet long-term objectives and return the area to its former state on time and on budget. We’ll agree a plan and then use a variety of land-reinstatement processes.
We’re based in Wigan, Lancashire, in the North West of England but tackle land reinstatement throughout the UK. In all our work, health and safety is a key priority.
Subsoiling
We’ll loosen and break up soil using a subsoiler to go deeper than what’s possible with traditional machinery.
Drainage
We’ll record the position of wells, springs, cesspools, septic tanks or land drains with photographs and carry out replacement and reconnection work.
Seeding
After groundwork, we’ll seed to protect and bind the soil together. We use a fast-growing land-reinstatement mixture to prevent soil erosion and reduce nutrient loss.
Fencing
We undertake all types of landscaping and are happy to install all types of fencing to comply with land-reinstatement requirements, including estate fencing, commercial fencing, wildlife fencing and agricultural fencing.
Hedges and Trees
We’ll replace any hedgerows affected by works, as required under the Hedgerows Regulations 1997.
Protected species
If great-crested newts or other protected species are part of the equation, we can provide on-site guidance to ensure you fully comply with the law.
